Here at Fletcher Jones Motorcars we're big fans of all the models in the new Mercedes-Benz lineup. But, one model, in particular, that sticks out time and time again is the iconic Mercedes-Benz E-Class and its variants.
And, with the 2014 model year upon us, we at Fletcher Jones Motorcars thought it'd be a great opportunity to discuss some of the exciting enhancements we can hope to see for the E-Class in the forthcoming year. The unique augmentations range from design to performance to more and we have the breakdown for you:
Firstly, there is performance. A specific model, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG® S-Model 4MATIC® sends power to all four wheels as opposed to the normal two. Also, power and traction are always balanced at optimal levels with output measuring up to 557 horsepower. The 5.5-liter AMG® Biturbo V8 powerplant, with which it's fitted, is also capable of producing 590 lb.-ft. of torque while simultaneously topping out at speeds around 186 miles per hour and clocking in at a zero-to-sixty sprint time of just 3.5 seconds.
As for its appearance, the German automaker has augmented the Mercedes-Benz model with a new "twin blade" grille and "A-wing" AMG®-styled fascia upgrades.
It has also been announced that the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class will offer drivers higher levels of fuel economy while still supplying ample power. Official EPA estimates have not been released yet.
