There's hardly a better time than the Geneva Motor Show this month to unveil the next line of luxury from Mercedes-Benz. We here at our Newport Beach, CA dealership simply can't wait much longer for the long-anticipated 2015 edition of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which we hope is coming soon. With the unveiling of the coupe version of that model, we're only hoping it's coming soon.
The public in Geneva was able to see the redefined, luxurious and sporty two-door up close, something we're certainly a tad jealous about. The coupe maintains the larger S-Class body and frame and obviously comes with the power to match.
Deliveries here in the U.S. are expected to occur by late fall of this year. We can expect to see the new S550 coupe that carries a 4MATIC 4.7-liter V8 biturbo engine under the hood. That engine produces an impressive 449 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. And you better believe the exhaust system is going to growl with appropriate vigor.
The steering and handling is greatly improved by the curve tilting function that draws inspiration from skiers or motorcyclists. We can't wait to whip this coupe around some bends to feel how tightly the new S-Class can hug around the curves of the road.
