We got our first look at the brand-new 2014 Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive when it made its world debut at the 2013 New York International Auto Show, and all of those in attendance were blown away. This EV is 100 percent emissions-free, features a stylish design, boasts a high-quality interior, and is coming to the United States sooner than we had originally thought.
On top of all the great qualities that we just listed, it boasts an incredible estimated driving range of 115 miles, blowing away our expectations for an electric car. It's digitally networked, too, which means that it can be checked and configured via the internet. Clearly, it's pushing the boundaries of what we've come to expect in a new luxury car and we couldn't be more excited for when it arrives here at Fletcher Jones Motorcars early next year.
To get a feel for this new addition to our lineup, we'll allow Dr. Joachim Schmidt, member of the Mercedes-Benz Cars Board of Management responsible for Sales and Marketing, to describe it: "The B-Class Electric Drive meets the wishes of many customers for emission-free driving without foregoing the hallmark attributes of a Mercedes-Benz, namely: safety, comfort and, of course, not to forget exhilarating driving pleasure."1
